Sworn translations, also known as notarial or official translations

For these translation services it is necessary that the translator has a very high level of written knowledge of both languages. For this reason, Royal Translations only works with translators who are included in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv).

Because Royal Translations' translators are sworn in by a Dutch court, they have an official sworn stamp. This is a stamp with which the translation can be certified. In many countries you have to go to a notary for this, in the Netherlands this is not necessary.

Completely official

If you have a document that needs to be translated from a foreign language into Dutch, the certified version as we provide it is sufficient for all authorities in the Netherlands.

For documents issued by diplomatic representations in the Netherlands (embassies or consulates), in most cases legalization is requested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addition to the sworn translation.

All our document translations bear the stamp of the sworn translator and can therefore be legalized. This means that if necessary, these documents can be presented to a court, ministry or embassy for legalization. We place a second stamp (embossing stamp or relief stamp) on each page of the documents supplied by us. This stamp guarantees the quality of our work and also prevents possible forgery or fraud. It becomes easier for the authorities that receive the documents to see whether all pages come from us.
